100 Longhorn steer, rodeo cowboys, antique cars, dog groups, and native dancers make their way down the parade rout every year at Stockyards City's annual "Cowboy Christmas Parade." Always held on the first Saturday of December, "A Cowboy Christmas" has become one of the most anticipated holiday events in the Oklahoma City area. After the parade each year, children are invited to visit our "Cowboy Santa" at the Rodeo Opry to take pictures and get a fun toy. Area merchants also take part in the festivities by having an annual window decorating contest.
For More information about the 2009 parade will be added as the parade gets closer. If you or your group are interested in being in the parade, contact Erin at erin@stockyardscity.org or 235-7267. Stockyards City Main Street is always looking for new and exciting groups to take part in our festivities so we urge you to join in the fun!
